What her daughter said to me - NoCV

Something happened in my madam’s shop that has refused to leave my head. We are three girls working there and on this unfortunate day, madam suddenly shouted that something was missing. Before we could even understand what was going on, she pointed at me and said it must be me. I was really shocked by what was going on. Tears just started rolling down my face because in my life, I have never stolen even ordinary sweet. Hours later, after turning everywhere upside down, it was discovered that nothing was missing in the first place. It was all a misunderstanding. Madam came to me, held my hand and begged me like she was begging God. She kept saying she was sorry, that I should forgive her. And honestly, I had already decided to forgive and forget. I said let me put everything behind me. But it was when we were about to close that her daughter came to add pepper to injury. She said I should please forgive her mother, that it was not really her mother’s fault. According to her, the only problem is that I resemble thief. She said I really look like a thief and that she was also suspecting me. Since I went home, I have been standing in front of my mirror, turning left and right, asking myself how exactly does thief resemble. Do thieves have a special nose? Is it the shape of my head? Is it my walking style? Or maybe the way I eat groundnut? Because honestly, I don’t understand. Please, can somebody explain to me, is there a particular way thieves look?
