What Client Said : I’m honestly tired of Nigerian photographers. I paid this guy to cover my birthday party. We agreed on ?70,000, and he promised to give me both soft copies and a photo album. On the day of the event, he actually came late. Almost one hour after the party started. By then, we had already cut the cake and taken group pictures with friends. He kept apologizing, but the truth is he missed most of the special moments. Now after the party, he told me he would deliver the pictures in two weeks. It’s been over a month, and he only sent me 10 edited pictures through WhatsApp. Anytime I call him, he’ll say, “Don’t worry, I’m almost done.” But I’m not seeing anything. I feel cheated because I paid in full, and I don’t even have the memories of my birthday documented properly.

My Side of the Story (Photographer): I know she’s angry, but she’s not telling the full truth. First of all, the location of the party was changed last minute, and she didn’t inform me early enough. I was already set to go to the first venue before she called to say it had moved somewhere else. That was what caused the delay. Secondly, during the party, she and her friends were not organized. They were rushing up and down, and whenever I tried to gather them for pictures, they would scatter again. I took as many shots as I could, but they didn’t even cooperate. As for the delivery, yes, I admit it’s taking longer than expected, but it’s not because I’m lazy. I had two weddings back-to-back right after her party, and editing takes serious time if you want quality. I only sent those 10 pictures first so she would have something to post immediately. The rest are still with me, and she will definitely get them.

After reading both sides, what do you think really happened? Or who do you think is right?
