I am a young lady and I currently have a job that pays me fairly well. My mum knows how much my salary is, and because of that, she keeps pushing me to resign and look for something better. But there is one major reason why I have stayed here that my mum does not know about. My Oga at work usually sends me betting codes every weekend. And to be honest, at times, these codes usually enter. I win a lot of extra money from them. In fact, some months, what I make from the betting codes is even more than my salary itself. Now, if I leave this job, I am afraid that my Oga might stop sending me the codes, and that would mean losing a major source of income that I have gotten used to. It’s not something I can easily explain to my mum because I know how she will react. She doesn’t believe in betting and would probably get angry if she found out that’s one of the reasons I am holding onto this job. So, I am caught in between. Do I listen to my mum and quit in search of a better job, or do I hold on to what I have since it’s paying me in ways that she doesn’t know about?
