The dancing is becoming too much - NoCV
Honestly, I am not happy with what my life has turned into. Imagine a full grown man like me, with grey hair already sitting comfortably on my head, being asked to be dancing in the office so they can record and post it online all in the name of attracting clients. When I say dance, I am not talking about ordinary gentle shaking of body oh. They want me to be doing trending moves. Each time they bring out phone to record, I just remember my street. What if one of my old friends sees the video online? How will they look at me again? Me that people used to call senior man in the community, now jumping up and down like a clown because somebody is chasing likes and views. I am tired. The annoying part is that I actually have another job offer somewhere else. The pay is not as high as this one, but at least my dignity will be intact. I told my wife about it and she just waved it aside. According to her, I should just manage this one because of the money. Easy for her to say, she is not the one sweating and rehearsing choreography in front of ring light while small small boys are clapping for me. Is this really what the modern workplace has turned into? Must respect and dignity now be sacrificed on the altar of social media trends?
