My parents want me to resign from my job for a government one - NoCV

Good morning everyone. I really need to share this because I am having serious issues with my parents right now, and I don’t want to make the wrong decision. Currently, I work with a private company and my monthly salary is above 400k. It’s not the easiest job, but I thank God for it. Now, my uncle recently got a government job slot and wants to help me secure one. From my findings, a level 7 officer earns just a little above 100k. To me, it feels like a huge downgrade in pay, so I told my parents I am fine where I am. But they strongly disagree. They said government jobs offer more job security and benefits. According to them, I shouldn’t be carried away by my current salary, because in the private sector you can go to work today and come back jobless the same day. They even reminded me of a close family friend who was sacked without warning. Right now, my parents are very angry with me. They’ve given me a short time to decide so that if I don’t take the slot, my uncle can help someone else. I honestly don’t know what to do. If you were in my shoes, would you leave a 400k private job for a 100k government one because of job security, or would you stick with the higher-paying private job?
