I am a Federal civil servant, and for years, I had always prayed and tried everything possible to get transferred to a particular sector I really admired. It felt almost impossible until something strange happened that made me start thinking deeply about how destiny works. That morning, I was getting ready to go out. I took my bathe, picked up my Vaseline, rubbed it on my hands, and dropped it back. Then I decided to apply some on my face, but suddenly, I couldn’t find it again. I searched everywhere, only to later see it sitting right where I had dropped it. Those missing two minutes delayed me from leaving the house on time. On my way to where I was going, I met someone from my university days. We weren’t close friends back then, just familiar faces. We greeted, exchanged contacts, and went our separate ways. Later, during one of our chats, I discovered he was working in the exact sector I wanted to transfer to and surprisingly, he was in a position to help. Fast forward to now, my transfer has been approved. Every time I think about it, I can’t help but wonder if not for that strange Vaseline delay, would our paths have crossed that day? Was it just coincidence, or was destiny really at play? Or maybe what they call the butterfly effect, that small things can lead to big changes in life?
