So here is my situation. I have a very high-paying job. When I say high-paying, I mean it pays in dollars. The only problem is that, It is a sleep-all-day, work-all-night kind of job. Midnight to early morning is my own shift. Now, what exactly do I do? My job is to talk to people who are into folklore fantasy. They call me and tell me to make animal sounds for them. The most requested animal is the Werewolf. So around 12 midnight, I would be inside my room, howling very loud over the phone. After a while, my fellow tenants called the landlord. They said the house had become scary and that maybe the land he built it on, was cursed because they heard strange and disturbing sounds at night. The landlord asked if I also hear the sounds. I said yes, of course. They even brought someone to our compound to pray against evil spirits and evil forces. After that prayer episode, I was no longer comfortable, so I didn’t renew my rent. I packed my load and went back to stay with my mum. She too, is not comfortable with the job but since she is my mum, she has no option than to manage me. Now here is my real problem. I have a fiancé. He doesn’t know the details of my job. He just knows I work online. I’ve been advised to go and spend at least one week with him and see how he reacts when I start working at night. Please, what are your thoughts? What if he is also uncomfortable? Should I resign before marriage? Mind you… I earn way more than him.
