When me and my business partner started this small venture, we were both determined to push it to the top. We already had three staffs and things were moving little by little, but the truth is, we desperately needed investors. There is this very wealthy man we had been trying to reach for months. Recently, we finally got his attention and booked a meeting with him at an hotel. Before the meeting, I suggested to my partner that we should try every possible way to get him on board. I even told her that if it comes down to her offering herself, she should consider it. To my surprise, she agreed withoutout arguing. In my mind, I felt maybe that sacrifice will secure the future of our business. After the meeting ended, I left her with the man in his hotel room, expecting that by the time I hear from her, the investment would be sealed. But one hour later, she called me sounding very embarrassed. She said the man wasn’t even interested in her at all. That he is actually into men and instead, he personally asked for me. I told her there’s no way I can do such a thing because it goes against nature and my beliefs. Since then, she has been very angry with me. She said I am not willing to make sacrifices, that we should split the business and even let go of our three staffs. I honestly don’t understand what she was expecting me to do.
