I saw one video trending online about pregnancy and childbirth, and honestly, it made me appreciate my current workplace so much more. In my former place of work, when my wife gave birth, everybody just said, “Congratulations, bro!”. Nobody even asked how I was doing. But in my current office, when I told them my wife just gave birth again, the congratulations came with a “Well done!” That small "well done" touched me deeply. It felt like they understood that I was part of the process too. From the work I did to put a baby in her stomach, the emotional support, the midnight cravings run, and all the wahala that comes with being a dad. Sometimes in a workplace, it’s not even about promotion or salary increase. It’s the little things that make you feel seen. That simple “well done” made me realize I’m finally working in a place that values people not just as employees, but as humans. So yes, shout-out to my new office. Una get sense pass my former one.
