You know how we have those strict bosses in some offices, the type that makes you wonder if they are even human beings like us because everybody is always acting scared around them? Well, I am the secretary to one of such bosses. Normally, just hearing his footsteps makes the whole office tense. People can barely breathe freely when he is around. But today, something happened that gave me so much joy. My boss brought his little daughter to the office. At first, they were just playing quietly in his office. Next thing, this girl started hitting his head playfully. Because my boss is on skin cut, omo!!! you needed to hear the sound the thing made. The kpam kpam kpam was like music to my ears. The funny part is that he was backing me, so he did not notice what I was doing. I started making hand gestures to the girl to continue. At first, she was using just one hand. I signaled to her to try using both hands and guess what? She understood the assignment immediately. She raised both her tiny hands and gave it to him back-to-back-to-back. God bless that child, she truly did the Lord’s work today. Honestly, I cannot explain the relief I felt watching someone deal with my boss, even if it was just his daughter playing. That little girl made my entire day.
