My Colleague Said Watching Me Eat Turns Him On - NoCV

Please, I need advice because I honestly don’t know how to handle this situation at work. There’s this guy I work with in the same office. One day, out of nowhere, he sent me a very disturbing text message. In the message, he said that watching me eat food turns him on. Since that day, I’ve not been at peace. Anytime I bring out my food to eat in the office, I can literally feel his eyes glued to me. It’s so uncomfortable that I’ve lost my appetite many times. I even tried to change my lunch time, but somehow, he always seems to be around. The worst part is that there’s no other convenient place to eat apart from my office. Now, because of this, there are days I just skip eating entirely even when I’m hungry, simply because I don’t want him staring at me in that uncomfortable way. I don’t want to report him because I honestly don’t want to be the reason someone loses their source of livelihood especially in this economy. But at the same time, I don’t think I can continue like this. What exactly do I do in this situation? Should I confront him directly and tell him how uncomfortable it makes me feel? Or do I report it to HR even though I don’t want him to get into trouble? Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation at work? Please how did you handle it?
